But how often do you actually pay attention to **how you're breathing?**



Your breath is something you carry with you everywhere.



In traffic... Before a difficult conversation.
When you're overwhelmed.
When your mind won't slow down.
When you need to focus.



**Breathwork Origins** is a beginner-friendly class designed to help you understand your breath, experience different breathwork practices, and most importantly, learn tools you can actually use in everyday life.



This isn't only about coming in, having an experience, and leaving. **We want you to understand what you're doing and why you're doing it.**



### WHY BREATHWORK?

We breathe automatically, but we can also **consciously change the way we breathe.**



Breathwork is the practice of intentionally working with the breath using different rhythms, patterns, and techniques.



Some practices are slow and grounding.

Others may feel more active or energizing.

Some help bring greater awareness into the body.

And different techniques can be useful at different moments.



Before we move into the deeper breath practice, we'll also spend time preparing the body.



Each class may incorporate gentle **Qi-Gong, somatic movement, and fascial release** to help you slow down, notice tension, and become more aware of what you're feeling physically.



This matters because breath doesn't happen separately from the rest of your body.



We're learning to pay attention to the whole experience:

**Breath. Body. Sensation. Emotion. Awareness.**

And every class can teach you something different.



### WHAT TO EXPECT

☯️ **Qi-Gong + Fascial Release**
Begin with gentle movement designed to loosen tension, ground yourself, and bring awareness into your body.

☯️ **Breathwork Education**
Learn 2–3 breathing techniques, why we're practicing them, and ways you may incorporate them into everyday life.

☯️ **Guided Breathwork**
Move into a 20–25 minute guided practice exploring a focused Pranayama or somatic-based breathwork style. Optional breath holds may be incorporated.

☯️ **Grounding + Sound**
After the active practice, we'll slow everything down with stillness and sound while giving your body time to settle.

☯️ **Journaling + Integration**
You'll have time to reflect, journal, and optionally share your experience.

You've been feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

Your mind is constantly busy. You notice yourself holding your breath or breathing shallowly when you're stressed.

You're feeling disconnected from your body.



You don't need experience with Pranayama, Qi-Gong, somatic practices, or meditation.



**This is where you come to learn.**

And because the breathwork style can change from class to class, you can continue returning, learning different techniques, and slowly building your own relationship with your breath. Our hope is that eventually you don't only think of breathwork as something you do at The Healing Tree.
