**Above the City** is an invitation to step out of your routine and into something unexpected.

On **Friday, August 21**, Abundance Social Club transforms the **14,000-square-foot Summit Terrace** at the Seattle Convention Center into a rooftop playground for curiosity, connection, and joy. As the sun moves across the Seattle skyline, you'll wander through experiences designed to help you slow down, meet new people, and try something you wouldn't have otherwise.

There isn't a schedule to follow, only invitations to explore.

Move between live music, interactive experiences, nourishing food, and meaningful conversation at your own pace. Blend a custom room spray, have a poem written just for you, add your mark to a collaborative community mural, capture a golden-hour portrait, unwind in our sensory chill space, or spark conversations with fellow guests through playful connection prompts. Every experience is an opportunity to discover something new—about the city, someone else, or yourself.

Throughout the evening, music becomes the heartbeat of the rooftop. You'll be welcomed by live marimba, settle into sunset with DJs and a roaming saxophonist, and gather together as a live band carries us into golden hour. Fresh, vibrant food and drinks—from smoothie and juice bars to poke bowls, build-your-own snacks, and other nourishing bites—invite you to fuel your evening while lingering in conversation.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PURCHASING YOUR TICKET AND ATTENDING. This is a legal agreement that affects your rights. By purchasing a ticket to, registering for, or entering Above The City (the “Event”), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability & Waiver (this “Waiver”). If you do not agree, please do not purchase a ticket or attend.
1. The Parties This Waiver Protects
In this Waiver, “Released Parties” means, together and individually: Abundance Social Club and its founders, owners, members, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents; the Seattle Convention Center (and its owner/operator); Encore; and all vendors, sponsors, performers, instructors, partners, and service providers participating in the Event, along with each of their respective parent and affiliated companies, owners, officers, directors, employees, contractors, volunteers, and agents. “You” and “your” refer to the attendee, and to any minor or guest for whom the attendee is responsible.
2. Assumption of Risk
You understand that attending the Event is voluntary and that participation involves known and unknown risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, illness, disability, death, or property loss. These risks cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid them. You knowingly and freely assume all such risks, including but not limited to those arising from:
• Elevated & rooftop settings: the Event takes place in an elevated and/or rooftop venue; risks include falls, trips on uneven or wet surfaces, contact with railings, ledges, stairs, or edges, exposure to sun, wind, rain, heat, cold, or other weather, and crowded conditions.
• Movement & wellness activities: yoga, dance, stretching, and other physical movement carry risks of muscle strains, sprains, joint injury, overexertion, slips, and falls. You represent that you are physically able to participate and will stop any activity that causes pain or discomfort.
• Vibration & sound therapy: vibration therapy and sound-based experiences may not be suitable for everyone. You acknowledge these activities may be inadvisable for people who are pregnant or who have heart conditions, pacemakers or implanted devices, epilepsy or seizure disorders, recent injuries or surgeries, or other medical conditions, and you agree to participate only if it is safe for you to do so.
• Art, room-spray & scent activities: hands-on art and “make-your-own” room-spray activities involve essential oils, fragrances, alcohol-based ingredients, dyes, and other materials that may cause skin, eye, or respiratory irritation or allergic reactions. You are responsible for reviewing ingredients and avoiding anything to which you are sensitive or allergic.
• Food, beverages & vendors: food and beverages provided or sold by vendors may contain allergens or cause foodborne illness or reactions. You are responsible for asking about ingredients and for your own dietary needs and allergies.
• General event conditions: acts or omissions of other attendees, vendors, or third parties; equipment or facility conditions; crowds, noise, and lighting effects; and travel to and from the Event.
3. Release and Waiver of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you hereby release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue the Released Parties from and for any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, and expenses of any kind arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death that may be sustained by you or your property while at, traveling to or from, or participating in the Event, whether caused by the ordinary negligence of the Released Parties or otherwise.
You understand that this release does not apply to conduct that is found to constitute gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, or an intentional act, and nothing in this Waiver limits any right that cannot be waived under Washington law.
4. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) brought by you or on your behalf, or by any third party, arising out of or connected to your attendance or participation in the Event, your use of the venue and equipment, or your violation of this Waiver or of Event or venue rules.
5. Medical Treatment & Fitness to Participate
You represent that you are in good health and physically able to participate in the activities you choose. You authorize the Released Parties to arrange emergency medical care on your behalf if you are unable to do so, and you agree to be financially responsible for the cost of any such care. The Released Parties are not obligated to provide medical care and are not liable for any care provided or arranged in good faith.
6. Rules, Conduct & Removal
You agree to follow all Event and venue rules, posted signs, and the reasonable instructions of Event staff, instructors, and venue and security personnel. The Released Parties may refuse entry to, or remove, any person for unsafe, disruptive, or non-compliant behavior without refund.
7. Photo & Media Release
You understand that the Event may be photographed, filmed, and recorded. You grant the Released Parties the irrevocable right to capture and use your image, likeness, voice, and statements in photos, video, and audio for promotional, marketing, and archival purposes, in any media now known or later developed, without compensation. If you do not wish to be recorded, please notify Event staff on site and avoid designated recording areas.
8. Personal Property
You are responsible for your own personal belongings. The Released Parties are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property.
9. Governing Law & Venue
This Waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Waiver or the Event shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
10. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any part of this Waiver is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect, and the invalid provision will be enforced to the greatest extent permitted by law. This Waiver is the entire agreement between you and the Released Parties regarding its subject matter and supersedes any prior understandings.
11. Acknowledgment
I HAVE READ THIS ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & WAIVER. I UNDERSTAND THAT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE. I SIGN IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY, AND I INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY TO THE GREATEST EXTENT ALLOWED BY LAW.


Electronic acceptance: By completing your ticket purchase, you agree to this Waiver on behalf of yourself and any guest in your party, and your electronic acceptance has the same legal effect as your handwritten signature.
