This run is all about Bear, Kono & Kunal’s mission to make a difference for shelter dogs through coffee ☕️❤️ Run this race. Support shelter dogs & help us highlight the importance of founders who commit to making a difference for animals 🐾 

Starting at 7 AM, participants will run or walk a 1-mile or 3.2 mile loop designed for all fitness levels, making it easy for everyone to get involved. Each admission includes a cup of coffee, with 50% of proceeds going directly to the Yucaipa Animal Placement Society to help dogs in need. Order your coffee after the race!

Whether you’re coming for the coffee, the movement, or the mission, The Bear & Konos Mile is all about showing up, giving back, and helping bring awareness—and freedom—to shelter dogs. 🐾

Running

By registering for and participating in this event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participating in a running/walking event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: falls, collisions with other participants, uneven surfaces, traffic, weather conditions, dehydration, and other unforeseen hazards. I knowingly and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of others.

2. Health & Fitness Certification

I certify that I am physically fit and have not been advised otherwise by a qualified medical professional. I understand it is my responsibility to consult a physician prior to participation if I have any concerns.

3. Release of Liability

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Jonis Allen Foundation, The Bear & Konos Coffee, event organizers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, property owners, and all affiliated parties (collectively, “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, losses, or damages arising out of or related to my participation in this event, including those caused by the negligence of the Released Parties.

4. Indemnification

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from my participation in the event.

5. Rules & Conduct

I agree to follow all event rules, instructions from staff, and applicable laws. I understand that failure to do so may result in my removal from the event without refund.

6. Animals

If I choose to bring a dog, I accept full responsibility for the animal’s behavior and safety. I agree that my dog will be leashed at all times and that I am solely liable for any injury, damage, or incident caused by my animal.

7. Photo & Media Release

I grant permission to event organizers and partners to use my image, likeness, voice, or participation in photographs, videos, or other media for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation.

8. Refund Policy

I understand that all registrations are final. No refunds, transfers, or deferrals will be issued for any reason, including weather or unforeseen circumstances.

9. Emergency Care

I authorize event staff to obtain emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary. I understand I am responsible for any costs incurred.

10. Severability

If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.
