By attending this Traveling Chess Club LLC (“TCC”) event, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk
I understand that this event may take place at a public or private venue (including bars, restaurants, coffee shops, outdoor spaces, or other locations) and may involve:
Chess games and tournaments
Social gatherings
Movement around event spaces
Setup or breakdown of equipment
The presence or consumption of alcohol (if served by the venue)
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending and participating in this event, including but not limited to personal injury, illness, property damage, theft, or other unforeseen incidents.

2. Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Texas law, I release and hold harmless Traveling Chess Club LLC, its owners, officers, employees, volunteers, sponsors, venue partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:
My participation in the event
My presence at the venue
Any acts of negligence by TCC or its partners
This release applies to both known and unknown claims.

3. Alcohol Responsibility (If Applicable)
If alcohol is available at the venue, I agree:
I am of legal drinking age (21+ in Texas) if consuming alcohol.
I will drink responsibly.
I accept full responsibility for my behavior and actions.
TCC is not responsible for any injury, damage, or loss related to alcohol consumption.

4. Code of Conduct
I agree to conduct myself respectfully toward other attendees, venue staff, and organizers.
TCC reserves the right to remove any participant from the event for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior without refund.

5. Media Release
I grant Traveling Chess Club LLC permission to photograph, film, and use my likeness in promotional materials, social media, website content, and marketing without compensation.

6. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

Acknowledgment
By attending this event, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver and release.
