About this event
An embodied space for women to feel, express, & release rage.
As women, we’re often taught to question our instincts, soften our language, accommodate discomfort, and make our needs palatable. We’re taught to absorb discomfort rather than express it - to turn anger inward, intellectualize it, suppress it, apologize for it, or transform it into something more socially acceptable.
And sometimes what we don’t give ourselves space to express, the body is left to carry - leading to physiological illness and consequences.
This event is to remind that anger is not inherently destructive. Rage can be information. Rage can be a boundary. Rage can be a response to injustice. Rage can tell us that something matters deeply.
Often, before we can move through an emotion, we need to be allowed to actually feel it.
Feminine Rage is a 90-minute collective experience for girls and women of all ages to safely explore and express the anger, frustration, grief, and rage we are so often taught to repress.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
• We’ll begin with an open discussion and grounding practice before moving into a circuit of physical and expressive release.
Then you’ll have the opportunity to:
• Hit the heavy bag and move with your anger - finding your physical power and ability.
• Throw medicine balls and physically release tension.
Use your voice - including yelling - in a safe, supported space.
• Journal and put words to what needs to be expressed.
• Move, shake, breathe, and let your body communicate what words sometimes can’t.
• And because release isn’t about remaining in a state of activation, we’ll close with breathwork, grounding, and calming techniques to help you return to a place of steadiness.
There is no right way to experience rage. You don’t have to be loud, hit anything, or share anything you’re not ready to share.
You simply get to feel what you feel — with coaches and community by your side, leading and exploring with you.
