The GoodLife HYROX Ottawa Shakeout Run is more than just a run—it’s the official community warm-up to one of the biggest weekends in sport. Designed to bring together local athletes, visiting competitors, and Ottawa’s running community, this is your chance to move, connect, and tap into the energy of HYROX before race day.

Led by Canadian HYROX Elite 15 athletes **Samuel** and **Isaac**, this 5K shakeout run is set at an easy, inclusive pace—perfect for all levels. Whether you’re racing, supporting, or just showing up for the vibe, you’ll be part of something special.

We’re taking over the streets of downtown Ottawa—moving as one through some of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

### THE ROUTE EXPERIENCE

Expect a curated 5K journey through the heart of the city, including:

* Portage Bridge
* Parliament Hill
* National War Memorial
* Supreme Court of Canada
* Fairmont Château Laurier
* National Arts Centre

**4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | Arrival + Check-In**

**Meet at The National War Memorial**
Light warm-up energy, and meet & greet with Samuel, Isaac, and HYROX Canada Ambassadors.
**5:00 PM – 5:45 PM | Shakeout Run**
A 5K, easy-paced, community-led run with multiple pace groups.  Expect epic visuals, content moments, and a moving crowd of athletes taking over Ottawa.

**5:45 PM – 6:15 PM | Finish Line Experience**
We finish at *Lowertown Brewery in the Byward Market*—hydrate, recover, and shift into social mode as the music picks up.

**6:15 PM onward | Post-Run Social**
Live music, drinks, athlete mingling, and full community vibes.
This is where connections are made and race weekend officially begins.

Supplemental Event Waiver

Event: HYROX Community Workouts and Runs

By registering for this event via the SweatPals Platform, I (the "Participant") agree to this Addendum, which supplements the primary SweatPals Release of Liability:

1. Scope of Participation
I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in a physical fitness event ("Workout" or
"Run") organized under the HYROX brand but managed via the SweatPals Platform. I understand that these activities may take place at various indoor or outdoor locations, and I assume all risks associated with the specific terrain, weather, and environment of the designated meeting point.

2. Explicit Release of HYROX North America Inc.
I agree that the "Releasees" or "Released Parties" defined in the primary SweatPals waiver shall explicitly include HYROX North America Inc., its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees. I hereby release HYROX from any and all claims, demands,
or causes of action arising out of my participation in these community events, including any injuries resulting from the negligence of the organizers.

3. Community-Led Activities
I understand that HYROX utilizes third-party community leaders, coaches, or captains to facilitate these workouts. I acknowledge that: These leaders are independent of HYROX North America Inc.

HYROX is not responsible for the specific instruction, programming, or supervision provided by these community groups at their various locations.

4. Platform and Data Disclaimer
My use of the SweatPals app to register for this event is at my own risk. I agree that HYROX North America Inc. is not responsible for the functionality of the app, the security of my personal data on the platform, or any communication sent through the SweatPals system.

5. Physical Readiness
I represent that I am in good physical condition and have no medical reason or impairment that would prevent my safe participation in a HYROX workout or run. I acknowledge that these events are high-intensity and involve inherent risks of injury.
