Join us for a restorative morning along the Brandywine River, where we'll slow down, connect with nature, and enjoy time on the water. Whether you're paddling, floating, birdwatching, or simply soaking in the beauty around you, this experience is designed to support relaxation, connection, and wellbeing.



## **<u>Event Itinerary</u>**

### **10:00 AM** – Welcome & Check-In

* Meet the group and get settled
* Brief introductions and community connection
* Overview of the morning and safety guidelines
* Distribution of equipment and preparation for the water



### **10:15 AM** – Grounding Meditation

Before we launch, we'll take a few moments to connect with our breath, settle into the space, and set intentions for the day.



### **10:30 AM** – River Adventure Begins

Participants may choose their preferred experience:

* **Kayaking Route**
* Approximately 1.5 hours on the water
* Paddle at a comfortable pace while enjoying scenic river views
* Opportunities to observe local wildlife and practice mindful presence



### Throughout the Morning:

* \- Casual birdwatching and wildlife spotting
* \- Opportunities to learn about local birds and river ecology
* \- Time to disconnect from daily demands and reconnect with nature

### **12:30 AM** – Community Lunch & Reflection

* Gather together for lunch by the river
* Share highlights from the morning
* Reflect on observations, moments of joy, and lessons from nature

### **1:00 PM** – Closing Circle

* Gratitude practice
* Upcoming Sunday Grounding events and opportunities to stay connected
* Farewells and departure

## **What to Bring:**

* \- Clothes and shoes that can get wet

* \- A sense of adventure and curiosity

Come prepared to slow down, enjoy the water, and spend the morning grounded in nature and community.

By signing this waiver, you agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge and understand that participation in outdoor and nature-based activities, including but not limited to hiking, camping, biking, forest bathing, and somatic exercises, involves inherent risks. These may include, but are not limited to: trips, slips, falls, insect bites, weather conditions, animal encounters, dehydration, and physical exertion. I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether foreseen or unforeseen, and take full responsibility for my participation.

2. Release of Liability
In consideration of being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Whitney Wideman, Sunday Grounding, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, affiliates, and event partners (collectively referred to as “the Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, for any injuries, losses, or damages (including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or death) that may arise from or in connection with my participation in the event.

3. Medical Acknowledgment
I affirm that I am physically fit and capable of participating in this event. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a medical professional prior to participating, especially if I have any pre-existing health conditions. I authorize the event organizers to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf if necessary.

4. Photo/Video Release
I grant permission for photos and/or video taken during the event to be used for promotional purposes by Sunday Grounding, including but not limited to social media, websites, and printed materials. (If you do not consent to this, please email us Whitney@sundaygrounding.com)

5. Binding Agreement
I understand that this waiver is binding upon me, my heirs, executors, legal representatives, and assigns. If any part of this waiver is found to be invalid, the remainder will remain in full force and effect.
