Holy Shit - LA in-person Coworking Ritual

You've got Holy Shit to do!

You know that idea that keeps coming back to you, but you still haven't created it? The one that ignites your passion, but isn't a priority because there's always something more urgent vying for your attention: the book, the screenplay, the youtube channel, the song.

You don't have to do it alone. This your opportunity to get in the zone alongside other creators, and actually turn those ideas into reality!

These ritualized co-working sessions leverage meditation, ritual, body doubling, and imagination to help you get into flow and unlock your creativity.

 

Note: This is a test run of bringing an experience format that we have hosted online to the real world. We will be meeting in a publicly accessible area, and therefore limiting the group size to 12 people. You will be able to connect to my hotspot for basic wifi needs, but tasks that require high speeds/ bandwidth are not recommended. There is a suggested donation of $10 (minimum $5) to cover drinks and snacks and to support the facilitator. We will also be taking photo and video to use to pitch this experience to venues and grow this offering (don't worry, we will keep it minimal to not interrupt your focus).

 

Order of Service (times in PT):

11:00am

Time to arrive to settle in, drink coffee or tea, have a protein bar, and meet your fellow creators.

11:30am

We will start with a guided workshop to set your intention for your work and clear away any digital and mental distractions.

11:45am

We open with a ritual of movement and meditation inviting you to imagine your project as if it has its own life: a spirit just waiting to be conjured.

12:00pm

We do the work! We'll do two ~50m deep focus sprints with a short break in the middle to re-energize, refresh, and reconnect with your body. We keep time for you, so you can get lost in the work.

We will share challenges and celebrations and close the ritual with intention.

2:00:

Time to connect with your fellow creators over lunch at one of the nearby cafes. This is optional, but highly encouraged: we are not meant to create alone, and this space is intended to cultivate a supportive community.

Holy Shit Focus Sessions are designed and hosted by The Last Supper Club in collaboration with The Why Collective. The experience was designed by artists Sydney Anderson, Christy Casey, and Ian Sutherland.
