1. PARTICIPANT INFORMATION
2. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I acknowledge that participating in the HYROX Houston Shakeout Run and related activities (including but not limited to running, jogging, walking, fitness exercises, and any HYROX-style training elements) involves inherent risks.

These risks may include, but are not limited to:
	•	Slips, trips, and falls
	•	Collisions with other participants, pedestrians, or objects
	•	Muscle strains, dehydration, exhaustion, or serious injury
	•	Uneven terrain, road conditions, or environmental hazards
	•	Weather-related risks (heat, humidity, etc.)

I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, associated with my participation.

3. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge:
	•	Body Art Run Club (BARC)
	•	Event organizers, volunteers, and staff
	•	Electrolit and Electrolit Headquarters
	•	Any sponsors, partners, or affiliates

from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to:
	•	Injury, illness, or death
	•	Property damage or loss
	•	Any incidents occurring before, during, or after the event

This applies to the fullest extent permitted by Texas law.

4. MEDICAL ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I certify that:
	•	I am physically fit and able to participate in this event
	•	I have not been advised otherwise by a medical professional
	•	I understand that no medical personnel may be present on-site

I consent to receive emergency medical treatment if deemed necessary and accept full responsibility for any associated costs.

5. RULES & CONDUCT

I agree to:
	•	Follow all instructions from event staff and organizers
	•	Respect the venue (Electrolit HQ property) and surrounding areas
	•	Not engage in reckless, unsafe, or disruptive behavior

I understand that failure to comply may result in removal from the event.

6. MEDIA RELEASE

I grant Body Art Run Club (BARC), Electrolit, and affiliated partners the right to:
	•	Capture photos, videos, and audio of me during the event
	•	Use this content for marketing, social media, promotional materials, and future campaigns

I waive any right to compensation or ownership of this content.

7. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

I acknowledge that:
	•	I am participating voluntarily
	•	I am responsible for my own hydration, safety, and well-being
	•	I understand this is a community fitness event and not a professionally supervised competition

8. INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless all released parties from any claims brought by third parties as a result of my actions during the event.
