Join us for this special Forest Joyride experience at Rooted Woodland - an evening of music, movement, nature, connection, and joy beneath the trees and open sky.



Joyride is an immersive movement and music experience designed to help you shift your state of being and reconnect - with yourself, with others, and with joy.



Blending curated music, breath, somatic practices, movement, and meditation using wireless sound technology, Joyride is an inward journey experienced in community.



Come as you are and leave feeling more connected, energized, and alive.

**6:30–7:00 p.m.** — Arrive + settle in
**7:00–8:30 p.m.** — Forest Joyride Journey
**8:30–9:30 p.m.** — Joyride Social: chill + connect



*Please arrive on time so we can get everyone checked in and set up with headphones before we begin.*

### **What to wear**

Comfortable clothing that you can move freely in.  Light layers that can be easily removed. Please dress appropriately for the temperature and for being outdoors in the evening.



Running shoes or comfortable footwear to move on the forest floor.



### **What to expect**

A special 90-minute Joyride journey created for the forest - moving freely beneath the trees to a powerful curated soundtrack through wireless headphones.



There is no choreography and no experience required. Come exactly as you are.



After the journey, stay for an optional Joyride Social -  a chance to chill, connect, and spend a little more time together in nature.

Please note that photography and video will be captured during this event and may be used by Joyride and Rooted Woodland for social media, website, marketing, promotional, and other communications purposes.



By attending this event, you acknowledge that photography and filming will take place. If you do not wish to appear in identifiable photos or video, please let us know at check-in.



### **Ticket Policy**

All ticket sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a future Joyride or Rooted Woodland event.

If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else. Please make sure they provide the original ticket holder’s name at check-in.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISK WARNING AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT (“the Agreement”) WARNING: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT YOU WILL WAIVE CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE OR CLAIM COMPENSATION FOLLOWING AN ACCIDENT AS A CONDITION OF YOUR PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITY, YOU MUST SIGN THE WAIVER IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS CONTAINED IN THE LIABILITY WAIVER, DO NOT SIGN THIS WAIVER


TO: Rooted Woodland (“the Company”) heir owners, officers, directors, partners, shareholders, agents, guides, instructors, independent contractors, affiliates, volunteers, participants, employees, representatives, successors and assignees of the Company, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter collectively including the Company- referred to as “the Releasees”): 

1. DEFINITION OF ACTIVITY. a. This Agreement shall apply to all activities, events or services provided, arranged, organized, sponsored or authorized by the Releasees, including but not limited to: walking, running, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, cold plunging, swimming, stretching, dancing, breath-work, use of bonfire, using wood burning sauna, sauna bathing, instructional sessions, transportation or travel to and from locations used for the activities, and loading and unloading of vehicles, (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the Activities”). 

2. VOLUNTARY ASSUMPTION OF RISKS. a. I HEREBY UNDERSTAND THAT PARTICIPATION IN THESE ACTIVITIES CAN BE HAZARDOUS AND MAY INVOLVE THE RISK OF PHYSICAL INJURY OR DEATH. b. I acknowledge that my participation in the activities entail known and unanticipated risks that could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. c. I understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential quality of the activities. d. THE RISKS AND HAZARDS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Slips and falls, loss of balance, tripping or falling, using the cold plunge tubs, using the sauna, eating, drinking, being around an open air fire; i. Drowning; ii. Burns; iii. Rapid and extreme changes in weather conditions, including changing and inclement weather such as storms, high winds, lightning, falling trees, or snowstorms and blizzards; iv. Entrapment by trees, collisions with rocks, or other obstacles and hazards; v. Variation in the terrain I am using including holes, depression, loose gravel, rocks, rock slides, mud, roots, trees, tree stumps, rocks, or other natural or man-made objects on or adjacent to trails or paths; vi. Steep slopes in their natural state that may contain many obstacles and hazards; terrain that may not have been travelled on or climbed before and is not regularly patrolled or inspected; vii. Encounters with wild and or domestic animals, insect or animal bites and any complication from such bites; viii. Becoming lost or separated from one's guide, instructor or party; ix. Lack of shelter or protection from the elements; x. Limited access to and/or delay of medical attention; xi. A reduction in my health condition including but not limited to, physical exertion, exhaustion, dehydration, hypothermia, or heat related illness; xii. Mental distress; xiii. Inability to act safely or within one's ability; xiv. Hands on manipulation or massage; and xv. Negligence or failure of other persons to act safely. e. I understand the participation in these activities may result in: i. Muscle and joint sprains and strains; ii. Cuts and bruises;

Broken bones including fingers, wrists, arms, ankles and legs; iv. Internal injuries; Concussions or brain injuries; vi. And other serious injuries not listed including paralysis or death. 
f. I am also aware that there is a risk of NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF THE OPERATORS, INCLUDING THE FAILURE BY THE OPERATORS AND THEIR STAFF TO SAFEGUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF THE ACTIVITIES. I FREELY ACCEPT AND FULLY ASSUME ALL RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE ACTIVITIES AND THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR LOSS RESULTING THEREFROM. 
g. RECOGNIZING THESE RISKS AND DANGEROUS, I VOLUNTARILY CHOOSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE ACTIVITIES AND EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL RISKS AND DANGERS OF THE ACTIVITIES, WHETHER OR NOT DESCRIBED ABOVE, KNOWN OR UNKNOWN, INHERENT OR OTHERWISE. 3. INDEMNITY. 4. RESPONSIBILITIES OF ACTIVITY PARTICIPANT. 

a. I have knowledge that I am required to wear and or make use of pertinent safety equipment (including but not limited to,) appropriate clothing and boots/ footwear while participating in certain Activities. I am aware that there are guides or instructors available to answer any questions that I may have about the proper use of equipment. b. I am further aware that the physical exertion required of certain Activities can activate or aggravate pre-existing physical injuries, conditions or congenital defects. I hereby acknowledge that I do not have any physical limitations, medical ailments, physical or mental disabilities that would limit or prevent me from participating in the Activities. c. I understand that the Activity I am participating in is not a substitute for medical attention or medical attention, or advice from a licensed professional, and I acknowledge that I should seek medical advice if I know or suspect that my physical condition may be compatible with the activities. d. I agree that I am not nor will I be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while participating in the activities. 

5. ASSIGNMENT. a. I agree that this Agreement shall be effective and binding up on my ears, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity. 

6. TERM & TERMINATION. a. This Agreement shall be valid for a term of twelve (12) months from the date of execution of this Agreement. b. This Agreement may be terminated by either Party without cause within thirty (30) days written notice provided to either Party. 

7. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION. a. This Agreement is subject to and shall be interpreted and construed in accordance with the law of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes between the parties related to this Agreement shall be referred to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the province of Ontario. In consideration of the Releasees allowing me to participate in the Activities and permitting my use of their equipment, I AGREE, to the greatest extent permitted by law, TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST AND TO HOLD HARMLESS, RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, AND AGREED NOT TO SUE Rooted Woodland,It's insurer, the companies owners, officers, directors, partners, shareholders, agents, guidance, instructors, independent contractors, affiliates, volunteers, participate, employees, representatives, successors and assigns of the company, and all other persons or entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (each a “Released Party”) FOR ALL MANNER OF ACTIONS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DEBTS, ACCOUNTS, BONDS, CONTRACTS, CLAIMS AND DEMANDS OR FOR ANY INJURY, INCLUDING DEATH, LOSS, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR EXPENSE, WHICH I MAY SUFFER, OR THAT MY NEXT OF KIN MAY SUFFER, ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE ACTIVITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THOSE CLAIMS BASED ON ANY RELEASED PARTY’S ALLEGED OR ACTUAL NEGLIGENCE OR BREACH OF ANY CONTRACT OR NEGLIGENT REPRESENTATION AND/OR EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OR BREACH OF ANY STATUTORY OR OTHER DUTY OF CARE, INCLUDING ANY DUTY OF CARE UNDER THE OCCUPIERS LIABILITY ACT, R.S.O. 1990, c. O.2. I UNDERSTAND THAT NEGLIGENCE INCLUDES FAILURE ON THE PART OF ANY RELEASE PARTY TO TAKE REASONABLE STEPS TO SEE IF GUARD OR PROTECT ME FROM THE RISKS, DANGERS AND HAZARDS OF THE ACTIVITIES. FOR EVEN GREATER CLARITY, I HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT MY EXECUTION OF THIS AGREEMENT WILL FOREVER PREVENT ME AND MY HEIRS AND ASSIGNS FROM SUING OR OTHERWISE CLAIMING AGAINST THE RELEASEES FOR ANY LOSS OF ANY KIND THAT I MAY SUSTAIN WHILE PARTICIPATING IN THIS ACTIVITY. 

8. PHOTO RELEASE. a. I consent to photographs and videos taken of me during my participation in the Activity, and to publication of the photographs by the Company for advertising, promotional and marketing purposes. 

9. SEVERABILITY. a. If any term of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the validity or enforceability of any other provision will not be affected and will remain in full force and effect. 

10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT. a. This Agreement represents the entire understanding between the Parties with respect to the subject matter hereof, and supersedes all previous oral or written agreements, negotiations, understandings, representations and statements between the parties relating to the subject matter of this Agreement. b. In entering into this Agreement, I am not relying on any oral or written representations or statements made by the Releasees with respect to the safety of the Activity other than what is set forth in this Agreement. 

11. DISPUTE RESOLUTION a. Before resorting to litigation or arbitration, the Parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute arising out of or relating to this agreement promptly by confidential discussions. If the dispute has not been resolved to the satisfaction of the parties within 30 days, either party may initiate litigation or arbitration. 

12. EXECUTION. a. Signatures sent via facsimile and electronic signatures, shall be deemed valid. Executed pursuant to the Electronic Commerce Act, 2000 S.O. 2000, c. 17. 

13. INDEPENDENT LEGAL ADVICE. a. I have been given the opportunity to seek independent legal advice regarding the legal rights I am hereby waiving and releasing in executing this Agreement prior to execution of same.

 14. AGE OF MAJORITY. a. I affirm that I am of the age of majority in the Province of Ontario, being 18 years old. 

15. COMMUNICATION. I agree to allow The Company to contact me by email regarding news and offers at The Company. I may withdraw my consent at any time through the unsubscribe link at the bottom of email communication.

16. PARTICIPANT’S DISCLOSURE. b. I hereby disclose to the Company that I am have the following special health concerns that Company any health concerns and / or physical limitations that the Company should be made aware of on the additional health declaration form. The form will be available at the time of the event. Please inform the Company in advance if you have any health concerns. 

I HEREBY CONFIRM I HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD THIS AGREEMENT PRIOR TO SIGNING IT, AND I AM AWARE THAT BY SIGNING THIS AGREEMENT I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS WHICH I OR MY HEIRS, NEXT OF KIN, EXECUTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, ASSIGNS AND REPRESENTATIVES MAY HAVE AGINST THE RELEASEEES, AND I HEREBY FREELY & VOLUNTARILY ACCEPT THE ABOVE TERMS & CONDITIONS.
