SAUNA USE WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING

I, the undersigned, voluntarily choose to use the sauna, banya, cold plunge, and related facilities operated by Cedar Banya (“the Facility”). I understand and acknowledge that sauna bathing involves inherent risks, including but not limited to heat exposure, fire hazards, slipping, and rapid temperature changes.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I acknowledge and agree that:
 1. Firewood Stove & Open Heat Source
 • The sauna is heated by a wood-fired stove, which becomes extremely hot.
 • Serious burns may occur from touching the stove, stones, metal parts, chimney, or surrounding surfaces.
 • I will maintain a safe distance from the stove at all times and follow all posted and verbal safety instructions.
 • I understand that embers, sparks, hot ash, or firewood may pose additional hazards.
 2. Hot Surfaces & Slippery Conditions
 • Sauna benches, floors, door handles, and surrounding areas may become hot, wet, or slippery.
 • I accept full responsibility for moving carefully and wearing appropriate footwear where advised.
 • I understand that slipping, falling, or loss of balance may result in serious injury.
 3. Hot-to-Cold Transitions
 • Moving between hot environments (sauna/banya) and cold environments (cold plunge, cold shower, or outdoor exposure) places stress on the body.
 • I acknowledge the risk of dizziness, fainting, shock, loss of balance, or cardiovascular stress.
 • I agree to transition slowly and mindfully, remain focused, and stop immediately if I feel unwell.
