Join Love & Lob for a full-afternoon mixed-doubles tournament. Please register with a partner of the opposite gender. We will prioritize complete teams that already have a partner for the first seven (7) days. If you don't have one, we'll match you based on sign-ups and skill levels.&#x20;



**You must be at least Intermediate (USTA 3.5 Level) & up.** If you can't rip a clean forehand winner on a couple of points, this isn't for you :)&#x20;



**1st Round: 10-Point Tiebreaks**



The round robin – features eight rounds with four matches each. You'll be placed in a pool of eight teams. Each match is a single 10-point tiebreaker, where you must win by two points, with change of ends every six points, and each player serves twice in a row. Pools alternate, ensuring you won't sit out two consecutive rounds, and you'll know your start time before arriving.



Pools are ranked based on total points earned rather than matches won, so each point you score influences your final position, right up to the last ball of your final round.



**2nd Round: Knockout Stage (25-minute Fast 4 Sets)**



After the group stage ends, the pools are scored and the schedule splits into two in the afternoon.&#x20;



**The Love Bracket** features the top four teams from each pool, making eight in total. These teams compete in quarter-finals, semi-finals, a final, and a third-place match, all played as 25-minute Fast 4: each set is a race to 4 games with no-ad scoring (gender serves to gender). When the score reaches 3-3, the next game decides the set.



**The Lob Bracket** involves the remaining eight teams, who will only play the same 10-point tiebreak rounds of their own. The four winners then face the four teams eliminated from the Cup quarterfinals, creating another eight-team draw. This stage is played entirely as 10-point tiebreaks in the first round, semi-finals, and final.



Therefore, a loss in the quarter-finals does not mean elimination. If you lose in the Love Bracket quarter-final, you are automatically moved into the Lob Bracket.



**Schedule**

    •    11:30am — Check-in, waivers, pool cards

    •    12:00pm — Warm-ups and Round 1

    •    12:30pm — Eight round-robin rounds

    •    2:30pm — Standings posted, draws announced

    •    2:45pm – Knockout Stage begins

    •    4:15pm — Champions Announced; Social hour begins: food, drinks, awards and photos



**What you're guaranteed**

    •    Four round-robin matches, whatever happens

    •    A place in either the Love or Lob bracket

    •    At least five matches on the day

    •    Food and drink from 12:30 through the social hour



**Before you play**

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the noon start — pools are drawn in advance and the first round goes on at 12:30sharp. If you or your partner are late, we'll dock one (1) point every 3 minutes from your first tiebreak.



Bring what you'd bring to a four-hour day: a second shirt, water bottle, and something for between rounds.
