Maitland Run Club – Participant Waiver & Release of Liability

By participating in any Maitland Run Club event, including the Maitland Coffee Run, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that running, walking, and participating in group fitness activities involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:
	•	Trips, falls, and collisions
	•	Weather-related conditions (heat, rain, uneven terrain)
	•	Traffic and road hazards
	•	Physical injury or medical events

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participating in these activities.

2. Release of Liability

I hereby release, waive, and discharge Eylisse Rodriguez, Adrian Vargas, Maitland Run Club, and BLACKBIRD Comics and Coffeehouse LLC, along with any organizers, volunteers, or affiliates, from any and all liability for:
	•	Personal injury, illness, or death
	•	Loss or damage to personal property
	•	Any claims arising from participation in the run club activities

This release applies whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Personal Responsibility

I agree that:
	•	I am participating voluntarily and at my own risk
	•	I am responsible for my own safety, pace, and physical condition
	•	I will follow traffic laws, stay aware of my surroundings, and exercise reasonable judgment during the run

4. Parking & Property Disclaimer

I understand that parking is my responsibility. I agree that:
	•	I will comply with all parking rules and local regulations
	•	I assume full responsibility for any parking violations, tickets, towing, or damages
	•	The organizers and affiliated parties are not responsible for any vehicle-related issues

5. Medical Acknowledgment

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in this activity. I understand that no medical supervision is provided and I assume all responsibility for my health and well-being.

6. Photo & Media Release 

I grant permission for photos or videos taken during events to be used for promotional purposes by Maitland Run Club.
