Miami, we are making history.



On July 5th, Miami Ruck Club is celebrating two years of building community through movement, purpose, and shared struggle. This is more than just a ruck. This is a celebration of resilience, freedom, service, and the people who keep showing up for one another.



In honor of America’s 250th birthday, we are bringing together veterans, first responders, service members, athletes, local leaders, families, and the Miami community for one of the biggest ruck and wellness events South Florida has ever seen.



Brought to you by Miami Ruck Club, Commissioner Alex Fernandez, and Steve Boucher from Boucher Brothers, this event will take place on the sands of Miami Beach with one mission in mind:

One Ruck | One Community.



We will step off as a community for a 4.4-mile beach ruck, carrying weight that represents more than fitness. It represents the burdens we all carry in life. But on this day, nobody carries it alone.



After the ruck, we will return for a full wellness experience featuring local vendors, cold plunges, recovery stations, music, raffles, community activations, and an unforgettable red, white, and blue finale.



EVENT TIMELINE:

0700: Ruckers begin arriving, check-in, roll call, and opening remarks
0800: Step-off for the 4.4-mile beach ruck
1000: Return from the ruck and red, white, and blue finale photo opportunity
1000-1030: Closing remarks and community remarks
1030-1300: Wellness event begins with vendors, cold plunges, live DJ, raffles, recovery activations, and community engagement

MIAMI RUCK CLUB EVENT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION, AND MEDIA RELEASE

By RSVPing for, attending, or participating in this Miami Ruck Club event, I acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following terms:

1. VOLUNTARY PARTICIPATION

I understand that my participation in this Miami Ruck Club event is voluntary. I am choosing to participate in a physical outdoor event that may include rucking, walking, hiking, carrying a weighted backpack, carrying a weighted vest, group movement, beach movement, wellness activities, recovery activations, vendor engagement, cold plunges, stretching, fitness-related activities, and other event-related activities.

I understand that I am not required to participate in any portion of the event and that I may stop participating at any time.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND EVENT RISKS

I understand that this event may involve physical exertion and outdoor conditions. Risks may include, but are not limited to:

Muscle strains, sprains, cramps, soreness, blisters, cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls, trips, slips, dehydration, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, sunburn, dizziness, fainting, fatigue, overexertion, allergic reactions, insect bites, contact with sand, water, uneven terrain, rocks, debris, weather conditions, crowds, traffic, vehicles, bicycles, scooters, animals, equipment, other participants, vendors, tents, tables, signs, generators, speakers, cold plunge equipment, recovery equipment, and any other hazards that may exist before, during, or after the event.

I understand that participation may result in serious injury, illness, permanent disability, property damage, or death.

3. BEACH, WEATHER, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RISKS

I understand that this event may take place on or near the beach and other outdoor public areas. I accept all risks related to outdoor and beach conditions, including but not limited to heat, humidity, sun exposure, rain, wind, storms, lightning, sand, wet surfaces, uneven surfaces, ocean or water exposure, limited shade, limited access to restrooms, and changing environmental conditions.

I understand that weather and environmental conditions can change quickly, and I am responsible for making safe decisions for myself.

4. HEALTH AND FITNESS REPRESENTATION

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in this event. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician before participating if I have any medical condition, injury, illness, disability, heart condition, respiratory condition, heat sensitivity, pregnancy, prior surgery, medication issue, or any other concern that could affect my ability to safely participate.

I agree that I will not participate if I am feeling sick, injured, dizzy, overheated, dehydrated, impaired, or otherwise unsafe.

I understand that Miami Ruck Club LLC does not provide medical advice and does not determine whether I am physically fit to participate.

5. RESPONSIBILITY FOR PERSONAL EQUIPMENT AND PREPARATION

I understand that I am responsible for bringing and properly using my own equipment, including but not limited to a backpack, weighted vest, hydration source, water, electrolytes, footwear, socks, sun protection, hat, towel, and any personal medical items I may need.

I understand that any recommended weight listed by Miami Ruck Club is only a general recommendation. I am responsible for selecting a weight, pace, and level of participation that is safe for me.

I agree to inspect my own gear and equipment before using it. Miami Ruck Club LLC is not responsible for the condition, failure, misuse, or loss of my personal equipment.

6. COLD PLUNGE, RECOVERY, AND WELLNESS ACTIVITIES

I understand that the event may include optional wellness and recovery activities such as cold plunges, ice baths, stretching, mobility work, vendor demonstrations, fitness activities, hydration stations, recovery tools, and related experiences.

I understand that cold plunges and ice baths may involve risks, including but not limited to shock, dizziness, fainting, breathing difficulty, numbness, panic, heart stress, blood pressure changes, injury from entering or exiting the tub, and other health risks.

I agree that participation in any wellness or recovery activity is optional and at my own risk. I will not participate in any activity that feels unsafe or inappropriate for my health condition.

7. VENDORS, SPONSORS, AND THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

I understand that vendors, sponsors, partners, and third-party providers may be present at the event. These parties may provide products, services, samples, demonstrations, recovery equipment, food, drinks, wellness services, promotional materials, raffles, or other activities.

I understand that Miami Ruck Club LLC does not control every product, service, statement, demonstration, or activity provided by third-party vendors or sponsors.

I agree that any interaction with vendors, sponsors, partners, or third-party services is voluntary and at my own risk.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks related to my attendance and participation in this event, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.

I understand that these risks may arise from my own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of other participants, the actions or inactions of volunteers, vendors, sponsors, event organizers, property owners, city personnel, weather conditions, environmental conditions, equipment, or the ordinary negligence of Miami Ruck Club LLC or any released party.

9. RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release, waive, discharge, and agree not to sue Miami Ruck Club LLC, its owners, members, managers, officers, volunteers, event organizers, staff, contractors, partners, sponsors, vendors, affiliates, representatives, agents, successors, assigns, property owners, venue operators, municipalities, local government partners, event supporters, and all other persons or entities connected to the event, including but not limited to Commissioner Alex Fernandez, Steve Boucher, Boucher Brothers, and any participating vendors, sponsors, or partners.

This release applies to any and all claims, demands, actions, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, attorney’s fees, injuries, illness, death, or property damage arising out of or related to my attendance, participation, travel to or from the event, use of equipment, use of vendor services, participation in physical activity, participation in wellness or recovery activities, or presence at the event.

This release includes claims arising from the ordinary negligence of the released parties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFICATION

I agree to hold harmless, defend, and indemnify Miami Ruck Club LLC and all released parties from any claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, expenses, or attorney’s fees arising out of or related to my participation in the event, my conduct, my violation of this waiver, my interaction with other participants, my use of equipment, my use of vendor or sponsor services, or any claim brought by someone else as a result of my actions.

11. MEDICAL TREATMENT AUTHORIZATION

If I become injured, ill, overheated, dehydrated, unconscious, or otherwise in need of assistance, I authorize Miami Ruck Club LLC, event organizers, volunteers, medical personnel, emergency responders, or bystanders to seek or provide emergency medical assistance on my behalf.

I understand that Miami Ruck Club LLC does not guarantee that medical personnel will be present or immediately available.

I accept full responsibility for any medical costs, ambulance costs, hospital costs, treatment costs, or related expenses arising from my participation in the event.

12. PERSONAL PROPERTY

I understand that I am responsible for my own personal property, including but not limited to bags, phones, wallets, keys, clothing, fitness equipment, water bottles, electronics, and valuables.

Miami Ruck Club LLC and the released parties are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced property.

13. PHOTO, VIDEO, AND MEDIA RELEASE

I understand that photos, videos, audio recordings, drone footage, interviews, and other media may be captured during the event.

I grant Miami Ruck Club LLC, its partners, sponsors, vendors, media team, photographers, videographers, and affiliates permission to use my name, image, likeness, voice, appearance, statements, and participation in photos, videos, social media posts, marketing materials, advertisements, promotional content, event recaps, websites, press releases, and any other media or platform without compensation, notice, or further approval.

I understand that these materials may be edited, published, shared, reposted, or used in future promotional content.

14. EVENT RULES AND PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

I agree to follow all event instructions, safety guidance, route directions, and directions from Miami Ruck Club LLC, event organizers, volunteers, city personnel, law enforcement, venue operators, or emergency personnel.

I agree to act respectfully toward other participants, vendors, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, and members of the public.

I understand that Miami Ruck Club LLC may remove me from the event at any time for unsafe, disruptive, disrespectful, intoxicated, impaired, aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior.

15. ALCOHOL, DRUGS, AND IMPAIRMENT

I agree not to participate while impaired by alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, medication, or any condition that could affect my ability to safely participate.

I understand that participating while impaired increases the risk of injury to myself and others.

16. MINORS

This event is intended for adults 18 years of age or older unless otherwise approved by Miami Ruck Club LLC.

If a minor attends or participates, a parent or legal guardian must be present and responsible for the minor at all times.

By allowing a minor to attend or participate, the parent or legal guardian accepts full responsibility for the minor’s safety, conduct, supervision, participation, and any risks related to the event.

A separate parent or legal guardian waiver may be required for any participant under 18 years old.

17. NO GUARANTEE OF EVENT CONDITIONS OR BENEFITS

I understand that event details may change due to weather, safety concerns, permitting requirements, crowd size, vendor availability, operational needs, or decisions by Miami Ruck Club LLC, city officials, venue operators, law enforcement, emergency personnel, or event partners.

I understand that Miami Ruck Club LLC does not guarantee any specific vendor, sponsor, giveaway, raffle prize, schedule item, wellness activity, route condition, weather condition, photo opportunity, or event outcome.

18. SEVERABILITY

If any part of this waiver is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect to the fullest extent permitted by law.

19. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF UNDERSTANDING

I understand that by RSVPing for, attending, or participating in this event, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to bring certain claims against Miami Ruck Club LLC and the released parties.

I confirm that I have read this waiver, understand its terms, and agree to be bound by it voluntarily.

By RSVPing and attending this event, I acknowledge and agree to this waiver, release of liability, assumption of risk, medical authorization, media release, and all terms listed above.
