Event Format

We adjust the games based on turnout to make sure everyone gets quality play time and a great experience.

24 Players or Less

* Full-field 11v11 style play
* Rotating substitutions
* Organized and balanced teams

More Than 24 Players

Players will be divided into:

* Teams of 8–9 players
* Typically 3–4 teams
* Rotating matches and mini-games throughout the session

This keeps:

* games fast-paced
* touches high
* wait times low
* energy competitive and fun

OMNi Pickup Rules

1. Respect Everyone

Competitive is encouraged. Disrespect is not.

* No fighting
* No harassment
* No aggressive behavior toward players or staff

Fighting Policy

Players who initiate fights:

* Immediate removal from the session
* Minimum 2-game suspension
* Possible season-long ban depending on severity

2. No Dangerous Slide Tackles

* Slide tackles directly at players are NOT allowed
* Players may slide to:
    * block a pass
    * intercept a ball
* BUT cannot make dangerous contact with another player

Penalty

* Yellow card
* Serious/reckless challenge may result in a red card

3. No Excessive Body Checking

Physical play is part of soccer. Dangerous contact is not.

* Shoulder-to-shoulder challenges are okay when playing the ball
* Body checking without an attempt to play the ball is prohibited

Penalty

* Yellow card
* Red card if denying a clear scoring opportunity

4. No Tackles From Behind

Dangerous tackles from behind are prohibited.

Penalty

* Yellow card
* Red card if stopping a breakaway or scoring chance

5. Substitutions

* Subs may only enter when play has stopped
* Teams are responsible for organized substitutions

6. Card Rules

Yellow Cards

* Warning for unsafe or unsportsmanlike play

Two Yellow Cards

* Equals a red card
* Player is removed from the game
* Team plays short-handed

Red Cards

* Immediate removal from the match
* Further suspension possible depending on incident review

7. Minimum Players

Standard Pickup

* Teams should maintain enough players for safe competitive play

Coed Sessions

* Minimum:
    * 6 players total
    * At least 1 female player on the field at all times
