*Description:* **3.4 miles, 597’ total elevation gain**

Hike on historic Mulholland Drive overlooking both the San Fernando Valley and Pacific Ocean. We’ll hike to a decades-old missile watchtower and ascend stairs to an amazing balcony with a 360-degree view of the Pacific Ocean, west LA and downtown LA, and the entire San Fernando Valley - there’s nowhere like it!



The route: Proceed on smooth dirt/gravel Mulholland Drive with gentle incline or 0.8 miles to the entrance to the San Vicente Mountain Park, passing the missile lookout tower, bathrooms, and water. Continue through the gated park area on the smooth Westridge Fire Rd. headed toward the ocean.&#x20;



Mild elevation changes on the ridge, then a slight detour to ascend to a lookout bluff at the 1.7-mile mark. Turn back to enter San Vicente Mountain Park. Ascend the lookout tower for a stunning panoramic view of Los Angeles.

*Parking:* Upper Canyonback Trailhead (Large dirt parking lot, additional dirt parking along Mulholland Drive), 17024 Mulholland Dr. Encino, CA 91436



*Time*: Meet at 9:30am to get fitted with demo Peluva shoes for your hike. Hike will depart at 10:00am and take 1.5-3 hours.

Event: Primal Footprint, Inc - Community Hike Event Waiver

1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that a group hike involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical exertion and heart stress.

Encountering unpredictable terrain (slippery rocks, steep inclines, loose gravel).

Weather-related hazards (heat, cold, rain, lightning).

Wildlife encounters.

Remote locations where medical care may be delayed.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

2. FOOTWEAR AND EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER

I understand that Primal Footprint, Inc. (aka Peluva) may provide "demo" or "test" footwear for use during this event. I acknowledge that:

Proper fit is my responsibility. If the footwear feels uncomfortable or unstable, I will notify a staff member immediately.

Using unfamiliar footwear may increase the risk of trips, falls, or blisters.

I am not required to wear the provided footwear and choose to do so at my own risk.

The company makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance of the footwear on this specific terrain.

3. PHYSICAL CONDITION & MEDICAL CONSENT

I certify that I am in good health and have no physical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in a hike of a significant degree of difficulty. In the event of an injury, I authorize Primal Footprint, Inc. staff to secure first aid or medical treatment on my behalf, and I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred.

4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Primal Footprint, Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, and trail guides from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of my participation in this hike, including any injury or damage caused by the negligence of the released parties.

5. MEDIA AND PHOTO RELEASE

I grant Primal Footprint, Inc. the irrevocable right to use my image, likeness, and voice captured during this event in any media (including social media, website, and print advertising) for promotional purposes without compensation to me.

6. GOVERNING LAW

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. If any portion of this waiver is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.
