*Description*: **4.5 miles, 856’ of total elevation gain**. 

Moderately challenging out\&back course in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, featuring some  of the most iconic scenery in the world: the Golden Gate Bridge, the City of San Francisco, and the Pacific Ocean.&#x20;



From Bay Area Discovery Museum parking lot, proceed on paved park roads and dirt fire roads, under Highway 101, along the ridgeline looking at the bridge and the city, heading toward Kirby Beach.&#x20;



Enjoy a fantastic brief detour to Battery Spencer lookout point, then continue down to Kirby Beach. Mild elevation changes as you walk along the ridge, including the main ascent from Kirby Beach up to Conzelman Rd on the return route.

*Parking*: Bay Area Discovery Museum - 557 McReynolds Rd, Sausalito, CA 94965

Parking is free at the museum. If museum and surrounding Fort Baker parking areas are full, there are two nearby Shore Parking lots on Marina Rd. and street parking on Bunker Rd as options.



*Time*: Meet at 9:30am to get fitted with Peluva demo shoes for your hike. Hike will depart at 10:00am and take 1.5-3 hours.

LIABILITY WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Event: Primal Footprint, Inc - Community Hike Event Waiver

1. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISKS

I, the undersigned participant, acknowledge that a group hike involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Physical exertion and heart stress.

Encountering unpredictable terrain (slippery rocks, steep inclines, loose gravel).

Weather-related hazards (heat, cold, rain, lightning).

Wildlife encounters.

Remote locations where medical care may be delayed.

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event.

2. FOOTWEAR AND EQUIPMENT DISCLAIMER

I understand that Primal Footprint, Inc. (aka Peluva) may provide "demo" or "test" footwear for use during this event. I acknowledge that:

Proper fit is my responsibility. If the footwear feels uncomfortable or unstable, I will notify a staff member immediately.

Using unfamiliar footwear may increase the risk of trips, falls, or blisters.

I am not required to wear the provided footwear and choose to do so at my own risk.

The company makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the performance of the footwear on this specific terrain.

3. PHYSICAL CONDITION & MEDICAL CONSENT

I certify that I am in good health and have no physical conditions that would prevent me from safely participating in a hike of a significant degree of difficulty. In the event of an injury, I authorize Primal Footprint, Inc. staff to secure first aid or medical treatment on my behalf, and I agree to be responsible for any costs incurred.

4. RELEASE OF LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I hereby release, waive, and discharge Primal Footprint, Inc., its officers, employees, contractors, and trail guides from any and all liability, claims, or causes of action arising out of my participation in this hike, including any injury or damage caused by the negligence of the released parties.

5. MEDIA AND PHOTO RELEASE

I grant Primal Footprint, Inc. the irrevocable right to use my image, likeness, and voice captured during this event in any media (including social media, website, and print advertising) for promotional purposes without compensation to me.

6. GOVERNING LAW

This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of California. If any portion of this waiver is held invalid, the remainder shall continue in full legal force and effect.
