Corporate Event Waiver and Release of Liability
This waiver applies to participation in activities, including but not limited to puppy interaction experiences, puppy playtime, and any private or corporate events organized by Paws and Pose Inc. (“Organizer”).
By signing this agreement, I, the undersigned Authorized Representative, confirm that I am duly authorized to execute this waiver on behalf of the contracting organization and all event participants, including employees, contractors, guests, invitees, and any minors in attendance (“Participants”).
1. Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge, on behalf of the organization and all Participants, that participation in this event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Interaction with live animals (including dogs), which may result in injury, illness, allergic reactions, bites, scratches, or other incidents despite reasonable precautions
Exposure to food, beverages, or environmental factors that may cause allergic reactions or other health complications
I voluntarily accept these risks on behalf of the organization and all Participants, whether arising from the Organizer’s actions, omissions, or otherwise.
2. Waiver and Release of Liability
On behalf of the organization and all Participants, I release, waive, and forever discharge Paws and Pose Inc., its owners, employees, agents, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, partners, affiliates, and venue operators (“Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, or causes of action arising out of or related to participation in or attendance at this event, including but not limited to:
Personal injury, illness, or allergic reactions
Property damage, loss, or theft
Any other harm or loss, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable
This release applies regardless of negligence or fault and constitutes a full waiver of legal rights to bring claims against the Released Parties in connection with the event.
3. Participant Conduct and Safety
I agree, on behalf of the organization, to ensure that all Participants comply with all safety rules and instructions provided by the Organizer. These include, but are not limited to:
Refraining from behavior that may stress or harm animals, including picking up, feeding, or removing animals from the event space
Adhering to all food and beverage policies
Respecting the personal space and property of others
The organization accepts responsibility for any damage to property or injury to animals caused by Participants’ actions.
4. Allergies, Health Conditions, and Emergency Situations
I acknowledge that the organization is solely responsible for informing Participants of potential allergens and risks associated with animals, food, beverages, and the event environment.
Paws and Pose Inc. is not responsible for:
Allergic reactions or health complications arising from exposure to animals, food, drinks, or environmental factors
Medical expenses incurred by Participants
In the event of an emergency, I authorize the Organizer to seek medical assistance for any Participant if deemed necessary.
5. Minors
If minors attend the event, the organization confirms it is fully responsible for:
Supervision, safety, and behavior of minors
Their interaction with animals
Management of allergies, dietary restrictions, and health conditions
Paws and Pose Inc. bears no responsibility for monitoring or managing minors.
6. Indemnification
The organization agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from the actions or omissions of Participants, including claims brought by third parties.
7. Photo and Video Consent
On behalf of the organization and all Participants, I grant Paws and Pose Inc. the right to capture and use photographs or video recordings from the event for promotional and marketing purposes, without compensation.
Opt-out requests must be submitted in writing prior to the event.
8. Force Majeure
The Organizer is not liable for cancellation, delay, or interruption due to circumstances beyond its control, including weather, venue issues, or public health concerns. Rescheduling or refunds are at the Organizer’s discretion.
9. Refund and Cancellation Policy
All sales are final. No refunds are provided for cancellations or no-shows. Rescheduling may be offered at the Organizer’s discretion.
10. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Ontario.
11. Acknowledgment and Authority
By signing this agreement, I confirm that:
I am at least 18 years of age
I am authorized to sign on behalf of the organization and all Participants
The organization has informed Participants of the nature of the event, associated risks, and waiver terms
Participation in the event constitutes acceptance of these terms
This agreement is binding upon the organization, its Participants, and their respective heirs, representatives, and assigns.
12. Severability
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
13. Acceptance
By selecting “I have reviewed and confirm,” the Authorized Representative acknowledges full understanding and acceptance of all terms above on behalf of the organization and all Participants.
