Join us for a free weekly morning walk designed for health & wellness-minded people who want to build authentic connections in real life. Come move your body, meet new people, and enjoy intentional conversation without the distraction of cell phones.


All ages and fitness levels welcome!


Important Details:

-**Be sure to RSVP** so we know to look out for you joining us and to get updates on any changes due to weather/etc!



-**Check in at 8:45am**. We begin walking at 9am.
(Check in is at the picnic tables next to Parking Lot 2 by Jack Curtis Stadium Track)



-We will walk the full **3.8 mile Cooper River Loop**. You can join for however long of the walk you'd like.



-**Cell phone use discouraged**. It's our time to be present and make new connections!

COMMUNITY WALK PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY & MEDIA CONSENT

By registering for, attending, or participating in a Community Walk hosted by The ReWild Society, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Voluntary Participation & Assumption of Risk

I understand that my participation in The ReWild Society Community Walk is entirely voluntary.

I understand that walking and participating in an outdoor community event may involve inherent and unforeseen risks, including but not limited to:

Slips, trips, falls, or collisions
Uneven, wet, icy, muddy, or otherwise hazardous terrain
Streets, sidewalks, trails, curbs, bridges, and other walking surfaces
Vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian, animal, or other traffic
Weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, wind, sun exposure, poor air quality, or changing environmental conditions
Insect or animal encounters
Dehydration, overheating, fatigue, dizziness, fainting, or physical overexertion
Muscle, joint, cardiovascular, respiratory, or other physical injuries or medical events
Risks associated with other participants, members of the public, or conditions outside the control of The ReWild Society

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2. Health & Medical Responsibility

I understand that The ReWild Society Community Walks are recreational community activities and are not medical, therapeutic, fitness, or healthcare services.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for determining whether I am physically and medically able to participate safely.

I represent that I am physically capable of participating or have consulted with an appropriate healthcare professional regarding any medical condition, injury, pregnancy, medication, physical limitation, or other circumstance that may affect my ability to participate safely.

I agree to:

Participate at a pace appropriate for my own abilities
Stop participating if I experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, weakness, illness, or any other concerning symptoms
Bring any medications, hydration, mobility aids, or other personal items I may reasonably require
Inform event organizers when reasonably appropriate if I require emergency assistance

I understand that The ReWild Society, its founders, volunteers, representatives, partners, and event hosts are not responsible for monitoring my health or determining whether participation is medically appropriate for me.

3. Emergency Medical Care

If I experience an injury, illness, or medical emergency during an event, I authorize The ReWild Society representatives to contact emergency medical services or take reasonable steps to obtain assistance on my behalf when circumstances warrant.

I understand that The ReWild Society does not guarantee the availability of medical personnel at Community Walks.

I accept financial responsibility for any emergency transportation, treatment, medical care, or other expenses incurred on my behalf.

4. Release and Waiver of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I release and agree to hold harmless The ReWild Society, its owners, founders, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, contractors, event partners, sponsors, hosts, and affiliated parties from claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or related to my participation in a Community Walk, including personal injury, illness, property damage, or death resulting from the ordinary risks associated with participation.

This release is intended to apply to claims arising from ordinary negligence to the extent such claims may legally be waived.

Nothing in this waiver is intended to release any person or entity from liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.

5. Personal Property

I understand that I am solely responsible for my personal belongings during Community Walks.

The ReWild Society is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unattended personal property.

6. Conduct & Personal Responsibility

I agree to conduct myself in a manner that reasonably protects my own safety and the safety and experience of other participants.

I agree to follow reasonable instructions provided by The ReWild Society event organizers relating to safety, event logistics, route changes, weather conditions, or participant conduct.

I understand that The ReWild Society reserves the right to ask a participant to discontinue participation or leave an event when organizers reasonably believe their behavior presents a safety concern or significantly disrupts the experience of others.

7. Photo, Video & Audio Release

I understand that photographs, video recordings, and/or audio recordings may be captured during The ReWild Society Community Walks.

By participating, I grant The ReWild Society permission to photograph, film, record, and otherwise capture my image, likeness, and voice while I am participating in the event.

I authorize The ReWild Society to use, reproduce, edit, publish, display, distribute, and share this content for legitimate business, community, promotional, marketing, advertising, social media, website, email, educational, and archival purposes in any media now known or later developed.

I understand that:

My image or likeness may appear on The ReWild Society's website, social media channels, marketing materials, advertisements, event recaps, or other promotional content.
Content may be edited, cropped, combined, or otherwise adapted for these purposes.
I will not receive compensation for the capture or use of this content.
I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials in which my image, likeness, or voice may appear.

If I do not wish to be intentionally photographed or filmed, I understand that I should notify a ReWild Society organizer before the start of the event. The ReWild Society will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this request, although it cannot guarantee that I will not appear incidentally in wide-angle, crowd, or background footage captured in a public or group setting.

8. Public Spaces & Third Parties

I understand that Community Walks may occur in public parks, trails, sidewalks, roads, or other public or third-party spaces that are not owned, operated, or controlled by The ReWild Society.

I understand that The ReWild Society cannot control the actions of members of the public or guarantee the condition, accessibility, security, or safety of these locations.

9. Weather, Air Quality & Event Changes

I understand that outdoor events are subject to changing weather, environmental conditions, air quality, route accessibility, and other circumstances outside The ReWild Society's control.

The ReWild Society may modify, postpone, relocate, shorten, or cancel a Community Walk when organizers determine that doing so is appropriate.

I remain responsible for determining whether conditions are personally appropriate for me to participate.

10. Acknowledgment of Understanding

By registering for or participating in a Community Walk, I confirm that:

I have read and understand this waiver.
I understand that participation involves inherent risks.
I voluntarily accept those risks.
I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights through this release.
I understand and agree to the photo, video, and audio terms described above.
I am at least 18 years of age and legally capable of agreeing to these terms.

I voluntarily agree to this Participant Waiver, Release of Liability & Media Consent as a condition of participating in The ReWild Society Community Walks.
