We are partnering with Smoke & Donuts to create a one-evening event centered around running, community, food, photography, and this time: CHARITY AND MENTAL HEALTH!&#x20;



Whether you're just curious about what running could mean for you or you're a full-fledged athlete, this evening is for you.&#x20;

We’re creating a space where **all paces, backgrounds, and identities** are welcome to explore, move, and have fun.

We will meet at Smoke & Donuts in the Milk District and literally run to make ice cream!



BRING A BACKPACK YOU FEEL OKAY TO RUN IN.&#x20;

We will provide you with a ziplock bag and all of the ingredients to make ice cream.&#x20;


The bags will be put into your backpack and then together we will go on a 45-minute community run to begin churning!!&#x20;

When we are back, we will all enjoy our creations and have an ice cream social.&#x20;

Sampaguita will be providing toppings and then we will all sit down together to watch To Write Love On Her Arms' recent documentary recapping their 20-year anniversary as an organization.


Our friends at [Cinnabar](https://www.cinnabarfilm.com/) will be presenting the film and curating a short conversation after the screening. &#x20;


Timeline and Event Details!&#x20;

5:15pm- Checkin!!


5:45pm- Coach lead warm up w/ [Michael Cole](https://www.instagram.com/michaelcoleisnow/)&#x20;

6pm- Gather Ingredients and pack backs for ice cream run!! Milk will be provided by TG Lee!!!

6:15pm Leave for run

Run to Lake Underhill and back. This is an all paces run. We will have a caboose to make sure NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND.

7pm: Get back to Smoke & Donuts!  Dj will be playing music. Ice cream is ready! Pull it out of your bag. Grab bowls and Sampaguita will be providing toppings!!



7:30pm Screening of film To Write Love On Her Arm's 20th Anniversary Film with Cinnabar!

7:50pm: Curated discussion about the film with Cinnabar.

8:10pm: HANG OUT and mingle. David Lawrence will have a portrait studio set up inside Smoke & Donuts for free portraits!!!!

Run The Weekend - Ice Cream Social

By participating in this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

This event is a community-run hosted by Run The Weekend in support of David Lawrence's 2026 New York City Marathon fundraiser benefiting To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA). Participants will run while carrying backpacks containing ice cream ingredients. Following the run, a documentary screening will take place in the parking lot and will be hosted by Cinnabar.

Assumption of Risk:

I understand that participation in this event involves physical activity, including running outdoors, and carries inherent risks such as physical exertion, heat, traffic, uneven surfaces, and other conditions beyond the organizers' control. I voluntarily assume all such risks.

Release of Liability:

I, the undersigned, hereby release and hold harmless Run The Weekend, David Lawrence, Smoke & Donuts, Cinnabar, To Write Love on Her Arms, and all associated organizers, volunteers, and sponsors from any and all claims, injuries, damages, or losses arising from my participation in this event.

Medical Acknowledgment

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in this activity. I am aware of and accept responsibility for any medical conditions that may affect my participation.

Photography & Media Consent

I grant permission for photos and videos taken during this event to be used for promotional purposes by Run The Weekend and associated parties.

All proceeds from this event are donated directly to To Write Love on Her Arms.

By registering or participating, I confirm I have read, understood, and agree to this waiver.
