Join us for the **3rd Annual South Bay Triathlon** on **Sunday, June 22nd** at **Miramar Park** starting at **8am** 🏁

This will be a fun **Sprint distance race simulation** (1/2 mile swim, 12.5 mile ride, 5k run) for the squad and any friends/family to do together in preparation for Legacy Tri, Hermosa Beach Tri and any other races you have coming up! 🏊🏼‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️

**Schedule of Events:**

6:30am: Race Check-In & Transition Opens
7:30am: Transition Closes
7:35am: Race Announcements by Transition Area
8am: Race Start
10:30am: Awards Ceremony & Celebrations

1/2 mile ocean swim at Miramar Park

**BIKE COURSE**

12.5 mile out & back ride from Miramar Park in Redondo Beach to PV Dr W & Hawthorne.

Remember that this is a fully open course, so you must abide to the traffic laws and regulations. **SAFETY FIRST!**

**RUN COURSE**

5k run on the strand from Miramar Park to Redondo Beach Pier and back.

There will be an **aid station** with water at the turnaround halfway point by the Redondo Pier.

**PARKING**

Street parking is FREE along Paseo de la Playa or you can pay to park in the Miramar Park Parking lot by our transition area

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS IS A LEGAL DOCUMENT.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the South Bay Triathlon ("Event") and all related activities, I, the undersigned participant (or the parent/legal guardian of a participant under age 18), hereby acknowledge and agree to the following:

Assumption of Risk
I acknowledge that participating in triathlon activities (swimming, cycling, running) involves inherent risks of injury, illness, or even death. I understand these risks include, but are not limited to:

Collisions with other participants, vehicles, pedestrians, or objects
Equipment failure or malfunction
Hazardous road, water, or weather conditions
Drowning
Heat-related illness
Animal encounters
Personal negligence or the negligence of others
I voluntarily accept and assume all such risks, known or unknown, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

Waiver and Release
I hereby waive, release, and discharge South Bay Squad Community, South Bay Squad, its directors, officers, members, volunteers, sponsors, event staff, venue owners, agents, and all other affiliated parties (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, or expenses of any kind, including attorney’s fees, arising from or related to my participation in this Event, even if caused by the negligence of any Released Party.

Medical Treatment
I consent to receive medical treatment deemed advisable during the Event and release the Released Parties from any liability for any such treatment.

Personal Conduct
I agree to abide by all rules of the Event and to act in a manner that is safe, respectful, and responsible. I will not participate if I am ill, injured, or otherwise unfit to safely engage in the Event.

Photography and Media Release
I grant permission to the Released Parties to use my image, voice, or likeness captured during the Event in any photographs, videos, or other media, for promotional or other purposes without compensation.

Acknowledgment of Understanding
I have read this Waiver and Release of Liability and fully understand its terms. I understand that I am giving up substantial rights by signing it and do so freely and voluntarily.
