**A Vipassanā-Inspired Meditation with Troy Casey, Certified HealthNut**

Join us for a **one-hour guided silent sit** rooted in the ancient practice of **Vipassanā meditation**, traditionally practiced in Indian contemplative traditions.

Vipassanā, which translates to *“clear seeing”* or *“insight,”* is a form of meditation centered on **stillness, silence, and present-moment awareness**. During this session, participants will sit in silence for an extended period, gently guided by Troy Casey into observation of breath, body sensations, and inner awareness.

This is not a breathwork class, movement session, or visualization practice. It is a **deliberate pause** — an opportunity to unplug from stimulation, settle the nervous system, and cultivate clarity through stillness.

No prior meditation experience is required. Chairs and cushions are welcome. Participants are encouraged to come with an open mind, a willingness to sit in silence, and respect for the shared container of quiet.

By registering for and participating in the Sunday Silent Sit meditation event hosted at Optimyze by Troy Casey, Certified HealthNut, I acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

Voluntary Participation

I understand that this event consists of a Vipassanā-inspired silent meditation practice, which involves sitting in stillness and silence for an extended period of time with minimal verbal guidance. I voluntarily choose to participate and acknowledge that participation is entirely optional.

Assumption of Risk

I acknowledge that participation in a meditation event, as well as being present in a shared indoor facility, involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

Slips, trips, or falls

Discomfort from prolonged sitting

Dizziness or lightheadedness upon standing

Emotional or mental responses that may arise during meditation

I understand that these risks may result from my own actions, the actions of others, environmental conditions, or the condition of the premises.

Personal Responsibility

I affirm that I am physically and mentally capable of participating in this event and that I will take responsibility for my own comfort, safety, and well-being. I agree to move mindfully within the space, notify staff if I feel unwell, and exit the meditation if necessary.

I understand that meditation is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment and that no claims are made regarding specific outcomes or benefits.

Premises Liability Disclaimer

I acknowledge that Lab PHX3, LLC d/b/a Optimyze makes reasonable efforts to maintain a safe facility but cannot guarantee the absence of hazards. I assume full responsibility for my presence within the facility, including navigating floors, seating, walkways, and common areas.

Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Lab PHX3, LLC d/b/a Optimyze, its owners, members, managers, employees, contractors, volunteers, instructors, facilitators (including Troy Casey), and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, or liabilities of any kind arising out of or related to my participation in this event or my presence on the premises, including but not limited to personal injury, emotional distress, property damage, or loss.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction (Arizona)

This waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from this event shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located within the State of Arizona.

Acknowledgment of Understanding

By registering for this event, I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver, that I voluntarily agree to its terms, and that I assume full responsibility for my participation.
