SYNC SOCIAL WAIVER & RELEASE OF LIABILITY

Applies to all Sync Social activities including weekly run clubs, yoga/pilates, pop-ups, vendor events, clinics, workshops, and other sport/fitness events (indoor/outdoor, any location).

1) Physical Readiness & Health Acknowledgment

I confirm that I am physically able to participate in Sync Social activities and that I do not have a condition or injury that would make participation unsafe. If I am unsure, I will consult a qualified medical professional before participating. I understand Sync Social does not provide medical advice.

2) Nature of Activities & Participation Rules

I understand Sync Social activities may include running/walking on public routes, yoga/mobility, strength/conditioning, sport activities, and workshops/clinics with physical demonstrations. I agree to participate within my limits, take breaks, hydrate, stop if I feel unwell, follow leader/instructor guidance, and obey traffic laws and safety rules (including road crossings).

3) Assumption of Risk

I understand participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: slips/falls, collisions, uneven surfaces, weather exposure (heat/humidity/lightning), dehydration, overexertion, sprains/strains, fractures, allergic reactions, illness, and in rare cases serious injury or death. I voluntarily assume all risks, known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, related to participation.

4) Release of Liability (Waiver of Claims)

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I release and waive any and all claims against Sync Social and its founders/owners, officers, employees, contractors, instructors, volunteers, photographers/videographers, event staff, sponsors, vendors, partners, and affiliated entities (collectively, the “Released Parties”) for any injury, illness, loss, theft, or damages arising out of or related to my participation, including claims based on the negligence of the Released Parties, except where prohibited by law (e.g., gross negligence or intentional misconduct).

5) Third-Party Venues / Partners + Indemnification

I understand Sync Social events may take place at third-party venues or public spaces and may involve partners/sponsors/vendors. I agree that such venues/partners are not responsible for injury or loss arising from my participation. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties and applicable venue/partner from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from my actions or participation.

6) Equipment, Environment, and Personal Property

I acknowledge events may involve portable equipment and changing conditions (uneven or slippery surfaces, limited shade/lighting, no climate control). I am responsible for my belongings; Sync Social is not responsible for lost/stolen/damaged property.

7) Medical Emergency Authorization

If a medical emergency occurs, I authorize Sync Social/event staff to seek emergency assistance for me. I understand I am responsible for related costs and that Sync Social is not responsible for outcomes of care.

8) Communicable Illness Risk

I understand group events may increase exposure to communicable illness (including COVID-19 and flu). I voluntarily assume this risk and release the Released Parties from liability related to exposure or illness arising from participation.

9) Photo/Video & Media Release

I grant Sync Social and its partners permission to use photographs/video/audio taken at events for promotional, marketing, and content purposes (including social media, websites, and press) without compensation. If I do not want to be featured, I understand it is my responsibility to notify staff before the event and take reasonable steps to avoid camera areas (full exclusion cannot be guaranteed in public/group settings).

10) Minors Policy

Unless explicitly stated for a specific event, participation is 18+. If Sync Social allows minors for a particular event, participation requires parent/guardian consent and any additional conditions Sync Social specifies.

11) Governing Law / Severability

This waiver is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
