Run Club Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk
(The Amazing Pace Run Club)
PARTICIPANT WAIVER, RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
By signing this document, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation
I understand that my participation in activities organized by The Amazing Pace Run Club (“the Run Club”) is entirely voluntary. I am under no obligation to participate and choose to do so of my own free will.
2. Acknowledgment of Risks
I understand that running, walking, exercising, and participating in group athletic activities involve inherent and unavoidable risks, including but not limited to:
Slips, trips, and falls
Collisions with vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians, animals, or other participants
Weather-related hazards
Uneven or unsafe surfaces
Physical exertion, overexertion, dehydration, heat illness, or medical emergencies
Equipment failure
Actions or negligence of other participants or third parties
I fully understand that these risks may result in serious injury, permanent disability, illness, or death.
3. Assumption of All Risks
I knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly assume any and all risks, both known and unknown, foreseeable and unforeseeable, associated with my participation in any Run Club activity.
4. Release of Liability
I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue:
The Amazing Pace Run Club
Its organizers, leaders, volunteers, members, and affiliates
Any sponsors, partner businesses, host locations, property owners, or municipalities involved in the activity
from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action of any kind arising out of or related to my participation, including those caused by the ordinary negligence of the released parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the released parties from any claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising from my participation or my actions during Run Club activities.
6. Medical Responsibility
I certify that I am physically capable of participating and have no medical conditions that would make participation unsafe. I assume full responsibility for any medical treatment required as a result of participation.
7. No Insurance Guarantee
I understand that the Run Club does not guarantee medical, accident, or liability insurance coverage for participants.
8. Compliance with Rules and Laws
I agree to follow all instructions, safety guidelines, and applicable laws, including traffic laws, and understand that failure to do so increases risk and does not create liability for the Run Club or related parties.
9. Severability
If any portion of this waiver is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
10. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state in which the activity takes place.
Participant Acknowledgment
I HAVE READ THIS WAIVER CAREFULLY AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS.
I UNDERSTAND THAT BY SIGNING THIS DOCUMENT, I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS.
