The RIVVY Dog Walk & Halloween Fashion Show — Waiver & Release
By registering for and/or attending The RIVVY Dog Walk & Halloween Fashion Show (“Event”), I acknowledge and agree to the following on behalf of myself and any dog(s) in my care:

Assumption of Risk: I understand that attending an event involving dogs, people, food, beverages, photography, and other activities carries inherent risks, including but not limited to dog bites, scratches, falls, collisions, property damage, illness, injury, allergic reactions, interactions between animals, and unpredictable animal behavior. I voluntarily assume the risks associated with my participation and my dog's participation in the Event.

Dog Behavior & Responsibility: I represent that my dog is suitable to attend a public event and is not known to be aggressive or dangerous toward people or other animals. Dogs must remain under the supervision and control of their handler at all times.

I understand that I am solely responsible for my dog's behavior, actions, health, safety, and well-being during the Event and for any injury or property damage caused by my dog.

Event organizers and venue representatives reserve the right to require any dog and/or attendee to leave the Event at any time if the dog displays aggressive, disruptive, unsafe, or excessively reactive behavior. Removal for these reasons will not entitle the attendee to a refund.

Leashes: Dogs must remain on a secure leash while attending the Event unless specifically instructed otherwise by Event staff for a designated activity. Retractable leashes should remain locked at a safe length in crowded areas.

Health: I represent that, to the best of my knowledge, my dog is healthy enough to attend the Event and does not have a contagious illness. I am responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for my dog, including considering my dog's age, temperament, health, stress level, and comfort around crowds and other animals.

Food, Treats & Allergies: Food and treats may be available for humans and dogs from the venue, sponsors, vendors, and event partners. I am solely responsible for determining whether any food, beverage, treat, or product is appropriate for myself and/or my dog and for communicating any allergies or dietary restrictions. I understand that cross-contact with allergens may occur.

Alcohol: Alcoholic beverages may be available for purchase. I understand that I am responsible for my own alcohol consumption, behavior, transportation, and safety. Attendees must comply with all applicable laws and venue policies regarding alcoholic beverages.

Fashion Show Participation: Participation in the runway/fashion show is voluntary. I am responsible for ensuring that any costume, clothing, accessory, leash, or other item worn by my dog is properly fitted and does not create an unreasonable risk of choking, overheating, restricted movement, entanglement, or other injury.

Personal Property: I am responsible for my personal belongings and my dog's belongings. The Event organizers, venue, sponsors, vendors, and partners are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property to the extent permitted by law.

Release of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily release and hold harmless The Dog Mom Social Club, RIVVY, their respective owners, operators, affiliates, employees, representatives, volunteers, contractors, sponsors, vendors, event partners, and agents from claims, demands, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from or related to my or my dog's participation in the Event, except to the extent such release is prohibited by applicable law.

Indemnification: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to be responsible for claims, damages, costs, or expenses arising from injury or property damage caused by me or by a dog under my care or control during the Event.

Photography & Video: I understand that photography and video recording may occur during the Event. I grant The Dog Mom Social Club and RIVVY permission to photograph or record me and/or my dog and to use such images or recordings for legitimate promotional, social media, marketing, and event-related purposes without compensation. If I do not wish to be photographed, I understand that I should notify Event staff upon arrival; however, incidental appearance in crowd or background footage may not always be avoidable.

Emergency Situations: In the event of an emergency involving my dog, I authorize Event staff to take reasonable steps to assist in obtaining emergency veterinary attention when I cannot immediately do so. I understand that I remain responsible for any veterinary or other expenses incurred on behalf of my dog.

Compliance With Venue Rules: I agree to follow instructions from The Dog Mom Social Club and RIVVY staff and comply with all applicable Event and venue policies.

Acknowledgment: I certify that I am at least 18 years old and have authority to bring and assume responsibility for the dog(s) accompanying me. I have read and understand this agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms. I understand that by accepting this waiver, I may be giving up certain legal rights.

By registering for or attending the Event, I acknowledge and agree to this Waiver, Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability.

One thing I would confirm with Leslie before publishing this is the exact legal entity/name RIVVY wants listed in the release. “RIVVY” is the public-facing brand, but the hotel may want its ownership/management company or Marriott entity specifically named in the waiver. That detail could matter more legally than simply writing “The RIVVY.”
