1. Assumption of Risk
I understand that the Event is a physically demanding competition involving running, sprinting, climbing, lifting, crawling, jumping, and other forms of high-intensity exercise. The course may include obstacles, varied terrain, and environmental hazards such as mud, gravel, uneven ground, or weather-related conditions. I recognize that participation carries inherent risks of serious injury, illness, property damage, or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks, whether known or unknown, including those arising from the actions or omissions of others.

If I am registering a Minor, I confirm that I have reviewed the course, obstacles, and risks described in this waiver as they apply specifically to my child, and I believe my child is physically capable of participating safely. I understand these risks apply equally, and in some cases with heightened concern, to a minor participant, and I voluntarily assume those risks on my child's behalf.

2. Release and Waiver of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event (or, for a Minor, being permitted to register my child), I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, contractors, vendors, officials, venue owners, agencies contracted by the Event organizers, and all of their officers, employees, and agents (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, losses, or liabilities arising out of or related to my participation in the Event, including claims resulting from the Released Parties' negligence to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If I am registering a Minor, I additionally release, waive, and discharge the Released Parties, on behalf of myself, the Minor, and the Minor's heirs, assigns, and next of kin, from any and all claims arising out of or related to the Minor's participation in the Event, to the fullest extent permitted by law. I understand that in some jurisdictions, a parent or guardian may not be able to waive a minor's own future legal claims, and that this release reflects my agreement to the fullest extent the law allows.

3. Medical Acknowledgment and Consent
I represent that I am (or, for a Minor, my child is) physically capable and medically able to participate safely in the Event. I understand that this competition involves maximal physical exertion over a short duration and that it is my (or my child's) responsibility to monitor physical condition at all times. I consent to receive medical attention deemed necessary if I am injured, become ill, or otherwise require care during the Event, and I accept full responsibility for all related costs. I understand that on-site first aid may be limited and that emergency medical services may require external transport.

If I am registering a Minor, I give full consent for Event medical staff, EMS, or other emergency responders to provide any medical treatment deemed necessary for my child, including transport to a medical facility, if I cannot be immediately reached. I accept full financial responsibility for any medical care provided to my child.

4. Environmental and Weather Conditions
I understand that the Event may take place in outdoor settings subject to weather changes and natural hazards, including but not limited to heat, cold, humidity, sun exposure, wind, rain, or uneven ground. I accept all such conditions as part of my (or my child's) voluntary participation.

5. Rules and Conduct
I agree to follow, and if registering a Minor, to ensure my child follows, all Event rules, safety instructions, and directions from Event staff and officials. I understand that failure to do so may result in disqualification or removal from the Event without refund. I agree not to engage in, and to ensure my child does not engage in, any behavior that endangers myself, my child, other participants, or Event staff.

6. Media and Publicity Release
I grant full permission to World's Toughest Mile, Ice Barrel, and all event vendors, partners, and sponsors to use my (or, if registering a Minor, my child's) name, likeness, image, voice, or performance in photographs, video, or other media recorded during the Event for promotional, commercial, or educational purposes, including organic and paid media, across all platforms and formats, without compensation or approval.

7. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from my (or, if registering a Minor, my child's) participation or conduct in connection with the Event.

8. Acknowledgment of Understanding
I have carefully read this waiver and fully understand its contents. I am aware that by agreeing to it, I am waiving certain legal rights, including the right to sue, and I do so voluntarily of my own free will. If I am registering a Minor, I confirm I have the legal authority to act as parent or guardian on the Minor's behalf, and my single initial below serves as my acknowledgment both individually and on the Minor's behalf.
