Hi there! These community park sessions are intended to connect Austin locals to nature through mindfulness practice. All experience levels are welcome. Hope to see you soon!

Donations are optional but highly appreciated! Donations help us to keep improving these sessions and ensure that our teachers are fairly compensated for their hard work. SEVA YOGA (SELFLESS SERVICE)

OPTIONAL: If you'd like to practice seva yoga (selfless service) after our movement practice, 1st Sundays we will stay until 7:30 cleaning up plastic trash at the park. This is completely optional, we just want to provide space for reciprocity with the park. \*\*LOCATION- we are NOT in the sports field near the basketball courts and treehouse!! Outdoor Yoga Participation Waiver and Release of Liability:
This waiver applies to all yoga classes offered by Valentia Yoga (the "Business"), regardless of which instructor is leading the class. As used in this waiver, "Released Parties" means Valentia Yoga, its owner Allyson Perez, and any instructor, assistant, employee, or contractor acting on behalf of Valentia Yoga, whether or not Allyson Perez is personally present or teaching, and, as applicable, the City of Austin and Pease Park Conservancy.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
I understand that I am voluntarily participating in an outdoor yoga class. I acknowledge that yoga is a physical activity involving movement, balance, stretching, breathing practices, and relaxation techniques. I understand there are inherent risks associated with participation, including but not limited to muscle strain, falls, dizziness, changes in weather, uneven terrain, insects, and other natural environmental conditions.
I affirm that I am participating at my own pace, will honor my body's limits, and will stop any activity that causes pain or feels unsafe. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult my healthcare provider regarding any medical conditions or concerns before participating.
In consideration of being allowed to participate, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with this activity, known or unknown, and I hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Released Parties from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation, including those caused by the negligence of the Released Parties, to the fullest extent permitted by law. This release does not apply to claims arising from gross negligence, recklessness, or intentional misconduct, and nothing in this waiver is intended to waive any right or claim that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Medical Condition Acknowledgment:
I confirm that I am not aware of any medical condition, injury, or physical limitation that would prevent me from safely participating in this yoga class, or, if I have such a condition, I have consulted with my healthcare provider and have been advised that I may safely participate. I agree to inform the instructor of any relevant physical limitations, injuries, or conditions before class begins.
Age Requirement:
This class is open to participants 18 years of age or older. By signing this waiver, I represent and confirm that I am at least 18 years old. If I am found to have misrepresented my age, I understand that this waiver is signed on my own behalf and that I bear sole responsibility for any inaccuracy in this representation. The Released Parties are relying on this representation in allowing me to participate and assume no responsibility for verifying age through other means.
Communicable Illness:
I understand that participating in a group class in a public setting carries an inherent risk of exposure to communicable illnesses, including but not limited to colds, flu, and COVID-19. I voluntarily assume this risk and understand that the Released Parties cannot guarantee that I will not be exposed to or contract such an illness. I understand that no specific precautions (such as mask requirements or distancing) may be enforced during class, and that attending is my own informed choice.
Photography and Media:
I understand that instructors or staff may occasionally take photos or videos before, during, or after class for social media or marketing purposes, and that verbal consent will be requested before doing so. If I do not wish to be photographed or recorded, I may decline at that time, and no photo or video will be taken or used without my consent.
I further understand that class takes place in a public park, and that I may be visible to, or incidentally photographed or recorded by, members of the public, other park visitors, or passersby who are not associated with the Released Parties or this class. The Released Parties have no control over and assume no responsibility for such incidental photography or recording.
Personal Property:
I understand that class takes place in a public outdoor space and that I am solely responsible for my own belongings. The Released Parties assume no liability for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property, whether left unattended, misplaced, or affected by weather or other environmental conditions.
Payment and Cancellation Policy: 
Classes are offered on a donation or paid basis as listed on Eventbrite/Sweatpals. If a class is cancelled by Valentia Yoga for any reason, including weather or other unforeseen circumstances, registered participants will receive a full refund of any amount paid. Payment or donation for this class does not create any warranty, guarantee, or higher standard of care beyond what is stated in this waiver.
Severability:
If any provision of this waiver is found by a court to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its original intent as closely as possible.
Governing Law and Venue:
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to this waiver or my participation shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
Acknowledgment and Signature:
By submitting my registration information, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to these terms of this waiver.
