The Lone Star Sweater Slam is the inaugural tournament hosted at Austin Pickle Ranch in partnership with SweatPals! This amateur tournament will be held December 16th and 17th at the Austin Pickle Ranch facility at 1717 W 6th Street. Make sure to come dressed in your tackiest Christmas sweaters – you never know what you could win for being the tackiest! Tournament Format The tournament will have 3 events: Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles. Each event will operate using a Round Robin format lasting 2-2.5 hours.

All games will be using rally scoring. Unlike traditional scoring where a team can only score points when they are on the serving side, in rally scoring, a point is earned after each rally, whether it was won by the serving or receiving team. Games will be played to 21 points. You must win by 2 points and a team must win on their own serve. If you have any questions about how rally scoring works, email us at info@austinpickleranch.com. 
Prizes are awarded to the winners of each division in each event. Divisions At the time of registration, teams will be responsible for submitting a self-rating for each player in the range 2.0-5.0 (half points accepted) in order to get a combined team rating to be placed in a division. Within each event (men’s, women’s and mixed) there are 4 divisions:  Team rating <6.0 Team rating 6.0-7.0 Team rating 7.0-8.0 Team rating 8.0+
