Hi! We're going to float on the Russian River on Sunday, August 3rd. The float will start from Steelhead Beach in Forestville to Sunset Beach and typically lasts around 3 hours. The river is 2 miles long, and the water travels slow. The drive from Walnut Creek is around 1h 40m (80miles). We're planning to leave Heather Farm Park around 7:30am. We'll try to get there before 9:00 to avoid the crowds! Parking also gets filled up very quickly on the weekends.

What to bring:

* River tube (purchase online or rent at Steelhead)
* ﻿Sunscreen, hats, and shades
* Bathing suit and clean clothes
* Dry bag/waterproof case
* Food/drinks

Meeting point: We plan to carpool from Heather Farm Park in Walnut Creek. Meet us by the restrooms at the first athletic field on your right as you enter the park. If you're interested, please sign up so we know to expect you!
