Join us for an electric, all-day community celebration featuring a youth and adult climbing competition, entertainment, music, raffles, open finals, and community connection. It’s open to everyone, and the competition is perfect for all climbers—from beginners to experts.

This registration page is for our YOUTH & FAMILY ROUND on Saturday, November 9th from 7:30-9:30am.

Check-in: 6:45AM-7:15AM
Rules Meeting: 7:15AM
Climb: 7:30AM-9:30AM
Raffle: 10:00AM

YOUTH
 - The Youth Round is for individual competitors ages 13 and under who are looking for a fun, recreational-level competition.
- Early Bird thru Oct 17th: $50
- Regular: $60
- Day Of: $65

FAMILY - The Family Round is for families with young children who are looking for a fun, recreational-level competition. "Family" is defined as 1 or 2 adults with at least 1 child age 13 or under. Max of 4 competitors per Family. 
- Early Bird thru Oct 17th: $60
- Regular: $70
- Day Of: $75

YOUTH & FAMILY ROUND registration does not come with a competitor t-shirt. Event shirts will be for sale on the day of the competition. Limited quantities and sizes.


FORMAT & RULES

YOUTH - competitors will receive one scorecard and be allowed to climb up to 30 boulders in any circuit. For every boulder "topped", the competitor will receive one raffle ticket for a special Youth & Family prize raffle at 10am.

FAMILY - competitors will receive one scorecard and be allowed to climb up to 30 boulders in any circuit. Family members may all climb the same boulder if they wish, but can only score each boulder one time for a maximum of 30 boulders. For every boulder "topped", the Family will receive one raffle ticket for a special Youth & Family prize raffle at 10am.

Families will be contacted after registration for a complete list of participants and to ensure all participants (and spectators) have MBP waivers on file, which can be filled out ahead of time here. At the time of check in, any participants without waivers will be required to fill one out before climbing or spectating.

BOULDERFEST

WHAT'S HAPPENING
1️⃣ COMMUNITY COMP 🧗
Boulderfest is an all-levels climbing competition. Whether you’ve been climbing for years, or it’s your first ever comp, you’ll find something fun and challenging for you to climb. The routes are the absolute best of what Bouldering Project and our setting team have to offer.

2️⃣ PRIZES 🎁
Everyone who competes in the Youth/Family, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced divisions has a chance to win awesome prizes. Each boulder topped = one entry. We have incredible prizes, valued at over $10k, from our sponsors and local brands, and the raffle is always a blast.

3️⃣ OPEN CATEGORY FINALS 🏆
This year our finals will have 3 categories: Non-Binary, Women, and Men. Boulderfest weekend culminates in an electric Open Finals competition on Saturday evening. Pro climbers and incredible athletes compete to claim the title of Boulderfest ’24 champion. The winners take home the $5K+ cash purse and bragging rights.

Each division must have a minimum of 6 participants by Sunday, November 3rd or we will cancel that division.

Open Qualification Round is Friday Night, Nov 8th.

4️⃣ ALL DAY PARTY 🎉
The day kicks off with our community competition and is followed by a whole day of activities. Our Vendor Village, all-day food trucks, post-climb beer, live DJ and Open Finals, make the day one giant party you won’t want to miss!

5️⃣ VENDOR VILLAGE 🛍️
When you’re not climbing, hang out in our Vendor Village where you’ll find great products, beverages, and games. 



HOW TO SELECT YOUR CATEGORY:
Community Comp Sessions: 
- Youth/Family: All circuits
- Recreational: Yellow, Red, Green circuits 
- Intermediate: Purple, Orange, Black circuits 
- Advanced: Black, Blue, Pink circuits

Competitors self-select into their respective categories during the registration process. The idea is to challenge yourself!

When trying your absolute hardest, if you are able to top 10 boulders in the highest color available in that category in one climbing session, you should compete at the next level up.

See the example below:
Example: “I generally climb purples/oranges/blacks. I can flash most oranges.”

When trying your hardest, are you able to complete 10 black boulders in one climbing session?
   We recommend the Advanced Category.

When trying your hardest, is the Black category overall still challenging, meaning you can’t send 10 black boulders in one climbing session?
   We recommend the Intermediate Category.

OPEN QUALIFIER FORMAT:
- 3 gender categories: Women, Men, Non-Binary
- 30 Blue, Pink, and White circuit boulders will be assigned point values in order of difficulty
- 8 attempts allowed per boulder
- Top 10 boulders will be scored
- Open Qualifier boulders will be scored by volunteer judges. 
- Top 6 from each category will go in to Saturday's Open Finals, 7:30pm; isolation opens 6pm Saturday
- $5K+ Cash Purse

Climb up to 30 boulders in any circuit. Earn a raffle ticket for every boulder you top. The Youth and Family Round will share one raffle when this round ends.
