🎉 BOULDERFEST IS BACK 🎉 Join us for an electric, all-day community celebration featuring a youth and adult climbing competition, entertainment, music, raffles, open finals, and community connection. It’s open to everyone, and the competition is perfect for all climbers—from beginners to experts. **Read on for info on Pricing, Format, and Rules** PRICING - Early Bird: $65 for first 100 competitors to register in each Community Session, and first 30 open competitors to register - Regular: $80 through October 10 - Weekend-of: $85 (if space allows) Register by Sept 13 to guarantee T-shirt size. We have 750 spots for this years Boulderfest. Once they sell out, we will not be taking any more additional registrations. Be sure and sign up early to secure your spot! Day-of-registration will only be available if we are not sold out. WHAT'S HAPPENING 1️⃣ COMMUNITY COMP 🧗 Boulderfest is an all-levels climbing competition. Whether you’ve been climbing for years, or it’s your first ever comp, you’ll find something fun and challenging for you to climb. The routes are the absolute best of what Bouldering Project and our setting team have to offer. It’s an incredible experience to climb and to watch others climb. 2️⃣ PRIZES 🎁 Everyone who competes has a chance to win awesome prizes. Each boulder topped = one raffle ticket entry. We have incredible prizes from our sponsors and local brands, and the raffle is always a blast. 3️⃣ OPEN CATEGORY FINALS 🏆 This year our finals will have 3 categories: Non-Binary, Female, and Male. Boulderfest weekend culminates in an electric Open Finals competition on Saturday evening. Pro climbers and incredible athletes compete to claim the title of Boulderfest ’24 champion. The winners take home the $7K+ cash purse and bragging rights. 4️⃣ ALL DAY PARTY 🎉 The day kicks off with our community competition and is followed by a whole day of activities. Our Sponsor Village, post-climb beer, live DJ and Open Finals, make the day one giant party you won’t want to miss! 5️⃣ SPONSOR VILLAGE 🛍️ When you’re not climbing, hang out in our Sponsor Village where you’ll find great products, food and beverage, and games. 6️⃣ VOLUNTEERS 🙌 It takes a whole lotta people to throw this big ol' party, and we'd love to have you on our volunteer team. Sign up to volunteer and get fully immersed in the energy, fun, and community. You'll get a Boulderfest T-shirt, daypasses, and new friends. HOW TO SELECT YOUR CATEGORY: Community Comp Sessions: - Recreational: Yellow, Red, Green circuits - Intermediate: Purple, Orange, Black circuits - Advanced: Black, Blue, Pink Circuits Competitors self-select into their respective categories during the registration process. The idea is to challenge yourself! When trying your absolute hardest, if you are able to top 10 boulders in the highest color available in that category in one climbing session, you should compete at the next level up. See the example below: Example: “I generally climb purples/oranges/blacks. I can flash most oranges.” When trying your hardest, are you able to complete 10 black boulders in one climbing session? We recommend the Advanced Category. When trying your hardest, is the Black category overall still challenging, meaning you can’t send 10 black boulders in one climbing session? We recommend the Intermediate Category. Open round competitors should be climbing predominantly whites and/or pinks. If a climber is able to climb white boulders, they should register for the Open category. OPEN QUALIFIER FORMAT: - 3 gender categories: Non-Binary, Female, Male - 30 Blue, Pink, and White circuit boulders will be assigned point values in order of difficulty - 8 attempts allowed per boulder - Top 10 boulders will be scored - Open Qualifier boulders will be scored by volunteer judges. - Top 6 from each category will go in to Saturday's Open Finals, 7:30pm - $7K+ Cash Purse Questions?
